Experimental Officer in the Carbon Capture and Separation Processes Laboratory

The Carbon Capture and Separation Processes Laboratory in the School of Engineering is seeking to appoint an Experimental Officer who will be actively involved in contributing to the research programme of the Laboratory which runs as a small research facility (SRF). This will involve overseeing the operation of the Laboratory, working collaboratively with and in support of its academic and research staff and students.

The post holder will ensure that the development of the SRF supports and keeps pace with the research requirements, liaising with funders, collaborators and users, and advising and training staff and students. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Chemical Engineering or related discipline and/or significant relevant professional experience, extensive technical problem-solving skills, substantial relevant research experience and a highly developed understanding of Health & Safety and other relevant regulations and procedures.
