Third Year Chemical Engineering Student Secures EPSRC Vacation Scholarship

Samir Diab, a third year Chemical Engineering student has secured an EPSRC Vacation Scholarship to conduct research in Dr. Lev Sarkisov's group.

The project will focus on molecular simulations of properties of ionic liquids inside high surface area activated carbons.

Samir will carry out his research project during the summer vacation, with the project lasting around ten weeks.

Vacation bursaries provide funding for undergraduate students to gain practical first-hand experience of research in a UK university to help them consider a research career with students receiving a stipend for the duration of the project.
