Engineering150

2018 will mark the 150th anniversary of the Regius Chair of Engineering, thus establishing engineering studies at the University of Edinburgh on a par with the best in the UK. The School of Engineering will be marking this significant anniversary with a programme of events and activities.

Regius Engineering Lecture

Professor Dame Ann Dowling, President of the Royal Academy of Engineering, will be opening the Engineering150 celebrations. Dame Ann will be delivering the first Regius Engineering Lecture on Wednesday 24 January 2018 at 5.30pm followed by a reception. 

More details about this event will be added in the coming weeks, including information about how to book. 

Inaugural Lecture of Professor Jason Reese, current Regius Chair of Engineering

Professor Reese is the ninth Regius Chair of Engineering, and will be delivering his inaugural lecture on 15 May 2018. 

Alumni Weekend 2018

The School of Engineering would like to invite all our alumni back to visit us for an Alumni Weekend on 5-6 October 2018. A full programme of events is being confirmed, including keynote lectures, evening drinks, presentations and reunion brunches.
