2018 will mark the 150th anniversary of the Regius Chair of Engineering, thus establishing engineering studies at the University of Edinburgh on a par with the best in the UK. The School of Engineering will be marking this significant anniversary with a programme of events and activities. Planning has begun, and we also want to receive ideas and suggestions from our community of staff, students and alumni – or indeed anyone with a great idea!

Alumni Weekend 2018

The School of Engineering would like to invite all our alumni back to visit us for an Alumni Weekend on 5-6 October 2018. A full programme of events is being confirmed, including keynote lectures, evening drinks, presentations and reunion brunches.

We would love to hear about your time here, please do get in touch if there are any memories you would like to share for our Engineering Timeline, or if you would like to get involved in any of the Alumni Weekend activities.

The Engineering150 Working Group is chaired by Professor Gordon Masterton, with Regius Chair Professor Jason Reese, Head of School Professor Hugh McCann, Director of Professional Services Bridgeen McCloskey and Communications and Alumni Relations Manager Zoe Blah. The Working Group is assisted by an Advisory Group with representatives from all engineering disciplines. Julia Eighteen provides the administrative bedrock.
