Dr Jamie Marland and Margaret Normand from the Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems (IMNS) have both received prestigious awards from the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers (WCSIM).

Dr Ricky Carvel, Lecturer in Combustion & Fire Dynamics in the Institute for Infrastructure and Environment, was honoured to receive the ISTSS Achievement Award 2018 at the 8th International Symposium on Tunnel Safety and Security in Borås, Sweden, on 15th March.
Dr Enzo Mangano has been recently awarded best Italian early-stage academic working in Scotland in Physical and Engineering Sciences. The award, which is now at its 3rd edition, was made this year for the first time also as a separate prize for Italian researchers working in Scotland.
George Tsagarakis, a 3rd year PhD student from Energy Systems, has won the Best Paper Award at the International Conference on Ecological Vehicles & Renewable Energies (EVER 2014).
