  • The university offers a number of funding opportunities to students including scholarships, grants and bursaries.

  • The School of Engineering and the University of Edinburgh offer many scholarships and bursaries. These range from course specific funding options, to general scholarships. You can visit the university's scholarships website to find out more.
Living Expenses
  • In terms of living expenses you do not need to provide evidence of funding, however, you should be aware that in applying for admission you will be taking on a major commitment in terms of both time and money.

    Renting a single study bedroom in catered accommodation ranges from £153 to £236 per week with a room in self-catered accommodation costs range from £83 and £114 per week in 2013-2014. There are a number of lower cost options involving shared rooms.(these figures include rent, lunches and personal expenditure).
