Assessment of your Application

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive login details to MyEd. This allows you to update your application and is the portal through which we will communicate with you.

Your application will be sent to a member of Academic staff to assess. Note: if you are applying for an advertised project, or have spoken with a potential supervisor, please state their name on your application form.

During this time, we may contact you through your MyEd inbox to request further documentation.

Timescale: We cannot guarantee a timescale for assessment as this depends on the potential supervisor who is looking at your application, however we do try to have all applications assessed as soon as possible. We will keep in touch with you via MyEd.

Offer or Rejection

You will receive notification of any decision made by email.

If you receive an offer, please note that this is an academic offer only - not an offer of funding.

An offer may be:

  • Unconditional - you have satisfied all entrance requirements and do not need to provide us with any further documentation
  • Conditional - you have not met all entrance requirements and in order to give you an Unconditional offer we need you to provide further documentation (eg, degree certificate, English language certificate)
