Leadership Team

James Hopgood is Professor of Statistical Signal Processing in the Institute for Data, Imaging, and Communications, within the School of Engineering, at the University of Edinburgh. He works in the disciplines of Data Science and Machine Learning within the field of Statistical Signal Processing, a branch of Electronic Engineering. 

Yoann Altmann is Professor in EECE within the Institute of Sensors, Signals and Systems in the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences. His current research activities focus on statistical signal and image processing, with a particular interest in Bayesian inverse problems with applications to single-photon Lidar, low-illumination imaging and neuromorphic computing and sensing.

Alex Serb is Reader in Unconventional AI Hardware Technologies in the School of Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, where he leads research at the intersection of circuit design, emerging device technologies, and neuromorphic computing.
