The month of August is when the Edinburgh Festival takes place. It is very famous across the world and many people travel from afar to this beautiful city to enjoy the art, comedy, music and much more. There are hundreds of different types of performances taking place in venues across the city; opera, theatre, comedy, films, classical music. As well as the performances, there are also lots of delicious street food stalls and beer gardens which pop up all over Edinburgh. There's almost every type of cuisine available and the restaurants in this city remain open till very late in the evening to satisfy the tourists. The streets are buzzing with people and the atmosphere is really exciting! The first show I saw at the Edinburgh Festival was The Crucible at the Edinburgh Playhouse. This dance performance is very classical and it reveals the human nature in a circumstance of rumour and hostility. The theatre was packed full and all of the audience was mesmorised by the superb performance.
