Visitors from many countries may need to apply for a Standard Visitor visa before traveling to the United Kingdom. The application should be submitted well in advance of your intended travel date. For conference attendees, please ensure you mention that you are attending an academic conference when applying. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens will need a valid passport to enter the UK, but most can visit for up to 6 months without applying for a visa.

Public transport
The journey from Edinburgh International Airport (EDI) to the conference venue at 18 Holyrood Park Rd (EH16 5AY) takes approximately 1 hour by public transport. The Commonwealth Pool bus stop is the closest public transport access point to our conference venue, located just a 5-minute walk.
