Student Visa

Once you have accepted your offer and don't have any outstanding conditions to meet, you will hold what we call an Unconditional Firm offer. This is when you can apply for a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) number through your MyEd account.

Our Student Immigration Team will start working on your draft CAS and you will need to confirm that all details are correct. You will be able to start your Student Visa application with your official CAS and we advise you make a timely application.

When you apply for and pay for your visa, you will also pay a lump sum called the Immigration Health Surcharge that will cover any medical treatment you might need while in the UK through the National Health Service.

Depending on your nationality and programme of study, you may also need to apply for Academic Technology Approval Scheme (ATAS) clearance.

This can be a lengthy process so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
