Presenter information

Guidelines for presenters at RAMS2026

Oral presentation format

Each contributed oral presentation will be approximately 15 minutes, including questions. Presenters should plan for a 10-minute talk, leaving time for discussion.

Please include the following on your title slide:

  • presentation title
  • author name
  • affiliation
  • RAMS 2026

There is no required slide template. Presenters may use their own slide design.

Presenting authors must register by Friday 14 August 2026. Only registered presenters will be included in the final programme.

Please send presentation slides to RAMS2026@ed.ac.uk by Friday 21 August 2026.

Poster presentations

Posters must be no larger than A1 size and should be prepared in portrait format.

Posters will be displayed throughout the conference and assessed during the dedicated poster sessions. Poster prizes will be awarded.

PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are welcome to submit posters. Academic delegates may also present a poster, including where an oral abstract is not selected for a talk.

Abstract submission

Abstracts can be submitted free of charge.

Abstracts must be written in English and should be checked carefully for spelling and grammar. Unusual abbreviations must be written in full when first used.

Abstracts are limited to 500 words, excluding the title, authors and affiliations. You may include up to 5 keywords. Please also include a short statement of up to 100 words explaining why your submission is innovative and/or creative.

You may submit more than one abstract through the RAMS 2026 Abstract Submission Form. However, each presenter may give a maximum of one oral presentation. Each abstract will be assessed independently.

Submitting more than one abstract does not guarantee selection for an oral presentation. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation may be offered a poster presentation instead.

At least one author must register for every accepted contribution.
