School of Engineering Summer Vacation Internships

We fund a minimum of 20 scholarships each year to enable students to work on research or teaching focused projects over the summer and gain relevant work experience here in the School. Five scholarships are allocated to each of the four disciplines: Chemical, Civil, Electronics & Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Applications are open to non-finalist undergraduate students who are at least in the second year of their programme.

Internships

Summer work experiences that are typically more career-related than a casual summer job and are often structured around a project or significant piece of work. They are a great way to test out a career idea and can sometimes lead on to other opportunities. Many companies ask us to share their summer internship vacancies with you, or we can support you to apply speculatively to companies that appeal to you.
