3 out of 4 recent Scottish Engineering Hall of Fame additions are alumni of the University of Edinburgh’s School of Engineering. These include telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell, lighthouse designer Robert Stevenson and structural engineer Sir Duncan Michael.
Dr Quan Li, Lecturer in the School of Engineering, has been awarded Guest Professorship from Tianjin University, in recognition of his pioneering work in the field of Applied Superconductivity.
These are some ideas assessed at the second Engineers to the Rescue Workshop on Wednesday 28 September 2016. Two hours are not enough to develop a business model but how about developing an undergraduate research project or public engagement event in a similar workshop?
