As Themis transitions to his new role as Head of the Institute for Integrated Micro and Nano Systems he annouced that Shiwei Wang is the new Director of the Centre for Electronics Frontiers from March 2026. Themis commented 'Shiwei’s expertise in power design, including his landmark work on Neuropixels at IMEC,  makes him the ideal leader to take CEF to new heights.  I look forward to supporting Shiwei and the entire team as we continue to bridge the gap between fundamental research and real-world impact.'

In IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, Alin Panca, Hannah Levene, Andreas Tsiamis, Hannah Levene, Spyros Stathopoulos and Themis Prodromakis present the development of Indium–Gallium–Zinc Oxide (IGZO) thin-film transistors specifically engineered as selectors for memristive crossbar arrays. These IGZO TFT can enhance the performance and scalability of memristive memory systems, paving the way for more efficient in-memory computing architectures. In October 2025 we hosted the international conference MEMRISYS 2025  at the International Conference and Exhibition Centre, Edinburgh - with keynote speakers including Leon Chua and Stanley Williams. Over four days, more than 200 attendees engaged with oral and poster presentations, live demos, tutorials and panel discussions.
