RAMS 2026 is the Recent Appointees in Materials Science Meeting. It brings together recent appointees, early-career academic staff, independent research fellows and emerging academic leaders in materials science.

The meeting provides a focused space to present new research, meet peers across the UK materials community, discuss future research directions and build collaborations.

RAMS 2026 is hosted by the University of Edinburgh and will take place at the Sanderson Building, King’s Buildings campus.

Research Themes

  • Sustainable Energy & Functional Materials

Energy storage and conversion materials, batteries, supercapacitors, photovoltaics, hydrogen materials, electrocatalysis, CO2 utilisation, circular polymers, sustainable synthesis, electronic, photonic and 2D materials.
