Humans with experience are very able to know when something is going wrong with the system they are using and to compensate for it. In autonomous system this intuition needs to be built into the algorithmic design. Autonomous systems will be subject to new methods of disruption by hostile actors e.g. GPS spoofing, jamming of data-links. Taking existing use of sensor data such as tracking and navigation as a starting point the project will understand how this data might be lost, corrupted or falsified, how it can be determined when this is occurring and how the effects can be mitigated.
