Prof Harald Haas and Prof John Thompson, both members of the Institute for Digital Communications at the School of Engineering, have been listed by Thomson Reuters as Highly Cited Researchers in 2017
Work originally invented by Professor Harald Haas and his colleagues has been showcased by major industry at the IEEE International Conference on Communications (ICC) between 21-25 May 2017 in Paris.
Professor Harald Haas, Chair of Mobile Communications and Director of the Li-Fi Research and Development Centre and Dr Dushyantha Basnayaka, Research Associate at the Li-Fi Centre were awarded the Best Paper Award at the IEEE VTC Spring Conference in Glasgow UK for their joint paper.
Congratulations to Yunjie Yang winning the 2015 IEEE I&M Society Graduate Fellowship Award. The prestigious award includes $15,000 USD and complimentary 2 year I&M student membership.
