Ever thought about teaching?

Primary, or secondary school maths, science or design & technology?  Engineering graduates may be eligible for all of these!

The inequalities in our education system are most acute in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).  Unsurprisingly, schools face real challenges recruiting teachers for these subjects, and this is where we see the greatest demand.  By joining Teach First as a STEM teacher, you’ll have the opportunity to inspire a generation with your passion for your subject, as well as enhance your own employability by developing leadership skills and experience.

Come along to speak to a Teach First STEM ambassador (Paddy Dempsey), as well as talk to your Brand Managers who all have a place on the LDP, and the Edinburgh University Graduate Recruitment Officer who will be able to answer all your questions.  Food will be provided.

Paddy Dempsey completed Teach First's Leadership Development Programme and taught secondary science for two years.  He now works for Teach First in the Graduate Recruitment team supporting the students of Edinburgh University along with Jordan Fleary.  They will be around to answer any questions you have about life on the Leadership Development Programme, or about anything related to Teach First or Graduate Recruitment in general.

This is a unique chance to gain an insight into Teach First’s graduate opportunities. It doesn’t matter if you have never considered being a teacher or have always wanted to be one, this is a great opportunity not to be missed.
