Inspired to Engineering

What inspired you to start your engineering journey?

The School held a competition asking students and staff to answer this question, and provide a photograph capturing themselves with the object (or a picture of it) that inspired them to start their engineering journey.

We also wanted to know a little about the person they were at the start of their journey. Where did they come from? Did they pursue engineering because of - or in spite of - their experiences at school?

The entries were judged by the School’s Equality and Diversity Committee and you can read about our winners below. You can also view the winning photographs in person within the King’s Buildings campus.
