As part of its wider Equality and Diversity strategy the University is committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming community where staff and students are enabled to meet their full potential and are treated as individuals. Equality Challenge Unit publication

This trans staff and students in higher education guidance is designed to be a resource for staff who are aware of or supporting a colleague or student who is considering transitioning to their preferred gender, is in the process of transitioning, or has transitioned. It can also be used to increase staff awareness of gender identity issues and inform the development of institutional policies and processes to support, and combat discrimination against, trans staff and students.
