Title: Control Strategies of Hybrid Offshore Renewable Power Generation System Integrated Into Power Grid
Abstract
A hybrid offshore renewable power generation system consists of offshore wind, wave and tidal power generations. The control strategies of the hybrid system integrated into power grid including: (1) Optimal tuning method for the controllers’ parameters of hybrid system to improve the dynamic performance. In this method, the key issue is how to reduce the optimization complexity, because the control system of the hybrid system has tens of parameters. (2) Coordinated control method for hybrid system with battery energy storage system to smooth the output power fluctuations, i.e., to improve the steady-state performance. The proposed method has the capability of handling state of charge constraints of the battery through the coordination of controls between the hybrid system and the battery.
