Linjiang Chen wins Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad

Congratulations to Linjiang Chen, a PhD student in IMP, who won a Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad by the Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC). This award which started in 2003, sponsored by the Chinese government, is awarded to recognise outstanding research accomplishments of Chinese graduate students studying outside China without government funding.

A total of 489 Chinese PhD students from around the world and from all fields of academic research received an award this year, only 28 of which were from the UK. Linjiang uses molecular simulation and quantum chemical simulations to study adsorption of CO2 in metal-organic frameworks for carbon capture applications.
