Engineering PhD student Iraklis Giannakis has won a best paper award at the 15th International Conference on Ground Penetrating Radar - GPR 2014, 30th June - 4th July 2014.
The paper entitled "Ground penetrating radar modelling for landmine detection" was presented at the biennial event which is the biggest and more prestigious conference on Ground Presenting Radar.
The paper was co-authored by Dr Antonis Giannopoulos and Dr Nigel Davidson from Defence Science & Technology Laboratory - dstl, who was the industrial supervisor.
