Renaldi Renaldi has been awarded the 2015 J.M. Lessells Travel Scholarship from the Royal Society of Edinburgh. The J.M. Lessells Travel Scholarships aim to enable engineering postgraduate students to perform some aspect of their research outside the UK. The scholarship is for Renaldi to visit CanmetENERGY - Natural Resources Canada in Ottawa, Ontario, where he will be collaborating with researchers in Renewable Heat and Power Group and working on the optimisation of solar district heating with seasonal storage. Renaldi is a second year PhD student at the Institute for Energy Systems (IES). His research work focuses on the modelling and optimisation of energy systems with thermal energy storage. The PhD project is supervised by Dr. Daniel Friedrich and Dr. Aristides Kiprakis.
