The Commonwealth Scholarships Commission have confirmed that the UK Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) and the Scottish Government will provide funding for a small number of Commonwealth Scholarships for candidates from developed Commonwealth countries in 2016-2017 for PhD and split-site PhD study.
While this announcement is very late within the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission normal scholarship selection cycle, the Commission are inviting candidates to apply direct to the CSC using the Commission's Electronic Application System (EAS). The EAS will open today (16th May 2016) and will close on the 17th June 2016 at 23:59 BST.
Please note that applicants will be required to submit all of their documentation including unconditional offers, academic references and supporting statements from PhD Supervisors (UK and Home Supervisors for Split-Site applications) by Monday 27th June 2016 to be considered for a 2016 scholarship.
