Dr Dimitrios Gerogiorgis delivers a Nagai Foundation Invited Lecture at the University of Tokyo

Dr Dimitrios Gerogiorgis, a Lecturer and RAEng Industrial Fellow in Chemical Engineering (IMP), has delivered a Nagai Foundation Invited Lecture at the Department of Chemical System Engineering of the University of Tokyo, entitled “Progress in Continuous Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Technoeconomic Optimisation”.

The event was attended by many industrial colleagues and was co-sponsored by the Society of Chemical Engineering of Japan and the Japanese Chapter of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering.

During his week-long stay in Tokyo, Dimitrios had the opportunity to learn and discuss about several projects of the Hirao-Sugiyama Lab. Furthermore, two PhD student exchanges have been agreed and planned for 2018, to foster the ongoing collaboration in the theme of Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing and Optimisation.
