Students benefit from upgraded Electrical Power Teaching Laboratory

Electrical Power Teaching Laboratory

The Electrical Power Teaching Laboratory has been upgraded for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School of Engineering.

The laboratory now incorporates state-of-the-art power generation and measurement equipment which allows students to learn and experience the operation of a modern-day power generation system.

The upgraded laboratory has already been utilised by 3rd year Electrical Engineering students and MSc students in Sustainable Energy Systems.

Dr Jonathan Shek, who led the development of the laboratory upgrade said:

“At this early stage, we are already seeing the benefits of the upgraded lab. The response has been extremely positive from both students and academics, both of whom I hope will enjoy learning and teaching in this lab for many years to come.”
