Tamas Józsa, a PhD student in the Institute for Energy Systems, presented a poster of his research project on compliant coatings at the ETP annual conference and it was awarded the 1st prize.
The University of Edinburgh Women in STEM society aims to inspire and encourage current and future female STEM students through real life examples. Our goal is to share stories of successful women in the scientific field and empower women to break gender roles in the scientific industry. As well, one of our main objectives is to be able to provide opportunities to women studying scientific subjects by producing a network of powerful women who can support one another.
As a result of a very long association with Budapest Műegyetem (also known as Budapest University of Technology and Economics or BME), Alistair Borthwick was awarded the degree of Dr honoris causa in May 2016 ... “in appreciation of his internationally reputed activities within the specialised branch of Civil Engineering”.
