Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab wins Silver Sustainability Award

The Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab has been awarded the 2020 Silver Sustainability Award by the University’s Department for Social Responsibility & Sustainability.

The award recognises the team’s effort in reducing the lab’s carbon footprint, sharing good practices, improving waste management and moving towards more sustainable and less energy-intensive approaches.

After receiving the Bronze Award last year, the Chemical Engineering Teaching lab team has been working hard over the past year to achieve even more sustainable methods. The Lab is the only undergraduate Teaching Lab in the University to receive the Silver Award.

Congratulations go to the Chem Eng Lab 3 Team - Dr Enzo Mangano, Dr Dani Orejon-Mantecon, Dr Harvey Huang and Dr Ignacio Tudela-Montes - and especially to Mr Gordon Paterson, for their efforts to improve the sustainability of the Chemical Engineering Teaching Lab!
