Congratulations to Mark Hughes, a trainee neurosurgeon and PhD student supervised by Professor Alan Murray, with Professor Mike Shipston from Biomedical Sciences, who has won the ACL/ACF prize at the annual meeting of the Society of Academic and Research surgery (SARS).
Professor Stefano Brandani, the Chair of Chemical Engineering at the University of Edinburgh, has been awarded one of Italy’s highest honours at a special ceremony at the Italian Consulate General in Edinburgh.
Caroline Saunders who has worked in the University for the last 33 years, retired recently. For most of that time she has worked as PA to the various Heads of Department/School starting with the Department of Electrical Engineering and ending with the enlarged School of Engineering.
Heather May, who graduated with a First Class MEng in Chemical Engineering in June 2013, has received a prestigious Graduate Prize from the Salters' Institute.
