On Wednesday 7th January, the annual meeting of the Tectonic Studies Group comes to Edinburgh this year and will include a special "Question Time" session to debate geological aspects of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS). The three-day meeting will be attended by researchers engaged in studying structural geology and tectonics. However, the CCS debate on day two is open to a wider audience.
The session begins at 11.20am and will be chaired by Prof Iain Stewart, of Plymouth University, who has presented a number of high-profile TV science programmes. Speakers include Professor Stuart Haszeldine (University of Edinburgh), Dr Bill Spence (Shell) and Dr Jennifer Roberts (University of Strathclyde).
