Primary Engineer Celebration Event

The School will be hosting an awards ceremony and exhibit with Primary Engineering in the Sanderson Building in the King's Buildings Campus on 1-2 June.

The School of Engineering are sponsors of this competition. If you’re not familiar with it, it’s an annual initiative for pupils aged 3-19 where they are asked 'If you were an engineer, what would you do?' Pupils submit posters of their idea and design. Primary Engineer literally receive 10s of thousands of entries each year. These are shortlisted and winners announced at regional celebration events throughout the UK.

During the 1st and 2nd June the winning poster entries for the South East Scotland Region will be on display across the 2 days. The winners, their supporters and schools will also be invited to visit and there is a celebration event on 1st June 5pm-7pm including a presentation in LT1. The prototype of last year’s winning entry ‘The shimmy shimmy shower’ will also be unveiled!
