I am humbled and honoured to be elected to the European Academy of Sciences and Arts (EASA). EASA places strong emphasis on the quality of scientific contributions -- both research outputs and their impact on advancing the sciences and professional practice. Being elected to this prestigious learned society recognises my research over many years. I am grateful to the University and School for the platform they have provided, and to the collegial environment of my Institute (Institute for Infrastructure and Environment), which has made this possible.

The inauguration of the new members will take place at the Academy’s headquarter in Salzburg, Austria, in March 2026.
