He holds a PhD in Digital Communications from Edinburgh, an MSc in Information and Communications Engineering, and dual BSc degrees in Electronics & Communication Engineering and Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.His research focuses on optical wireless communication, LiFi, joint radar-communication (JRC) systems, and energy-efficient networking. He has published extensively in leading journals, holds several international patents, and has received multiple awards recognizing his contributions to wireless communications. In addition to his academic work, Ozyurt brings industry experience from Ericsson and Vodafone, and remains actively engaged in academic service as a reviewer for top-tier journals and in leadership roles within the non-profit sector.
