International Image Sensor Workshop 2023 IISW23

The International Image Sensor Workshop (IISW) is the world’s largest technology forum fully devoted to solid-state image sensors. The scope of the workshop includes all aspects of electronic image sensor research, design, and development. The workshop papers span across a wide range of imaging devices and research topics: pixel physics, image sensor design and performance, application-specific imagers, manufacturing techniques such as wafer stacking and backside illumination, and on-chip optics. Applications include consumer mobile image sensor devices, large-format devices for X-ray and astronomy, time-resolving and photon-counting imagers, and radiation-hardened image sensors.

11th International Conference On Boiling & Condensation Heat Transfer ICBCHT11

This series of ECI conferences (on Boiling) has been very successful over the years, with the present conference the 8th in the series. Because of the close relationship between flow boiling and convective condensation (with respect to flow patterns, some heat transfer mechanisms and physically-based models), the topic of Condensation has been added to the Boiling conference this time.

IMT Seminar Series: Tailoring Surface Chemistry and Surface Roughness to enable the Long-Term Stable Dropwise Condensation of Steam and Refrigerant Working Fluids

Almost a century ago, dropwise condensation of steam on a hydrophobic surface was shown to have a 10X higher condensation heat transfer coefficient when compared to filmwise condensation on hydrophilic surface. The resulting overall heat transfer enhancement has the potential to result in a 2% overall energy efficiency increase for steam-based power plants, which are responsible for the overwhelming majority of global electricity production.
